If you believe this report, it could be...sadly.

Oh Jesus, can't this be postponed until the season is over, for the good of *everyone*?

Pettitte is tough. He can handle it and thrive.

Has anyone ever gotten worse legal advice than Roger Clemens? For three million bucks, you'd think the lawyer might actually have your best interests in mind. Rusty Hardin is a media-whore attention-grabbing fool. I knew as soon as I saw him -- mostly because he looks like Jerry Jones in a bad wig -- that he was would a total disaster.
After the hearings, where Clemens looked as bad as he did, I wouldn't be shocked to see this defamation suit dropped. It seemed mostly symbolic anyway -- or maybe just another attempt to have McNamee financially drained. Clemens has no proof that McNamee is lying. And McNamee really has no evidence that Clemens used steroids. It's all pretty pointless.

I haven't been impressed with Hardin, but I can tell you from personal experience that it's hard to give good legal advice if your client is lying to you.

you know who benefits the most out of all this? A-Rod. there hasnt been much on him since this freak show came up, and the pressure may be off despite his rediculous contract...expect a good season i think, especially if clemens doesnt drop the case
