Free Alberto Gonzalez

If I'm reading Tom Tango correctly, a slick fielding shortstop could save his team around 50 runs per season.

Someone should teach Alberto Gonzalez to say "Play me or trade me."

Or, at least, maybe "The Specials" can do a song for him.

If Alberto Gonzalez can't hit AAA pitching this year, do you promise to give up on him? Ditto Brett Gardner.

Did you see what AG hit in his return to AAA last year and during the winter leagues this off-season? He was on fire, FWIW.

You want me to make a big deal about that but you refuse to accept the reality or veracity of Phil Hughes' minor league stats.

Been there, done that on this argument. Until I see a no-hit shortstop do it consistently in the bigs and impress scouts enough to even crack our organizational top-20, he's just some crazy pipe dream you've gotten yourself in love with. Have fun with that.
