And, Pitching, #34, Phil Hughes, #34

According to his blog, Phil Hughes will be taking Sean Henn's #34 this season. Let's hope Phil has better luck with it than the last two guys to wear it: Henn and Jaret Wright.

The last two Yanks to wear it didn't do the number justice. But #34 is an all-time favorite of mine because of former New York Knicks power forward Charles Oakley. I hope Hughes wears #34 with distinction for the next decade.

Yeah he's fucked. Jersey number so trumps talent. What an idiot.

Um, SteveB, that was kind of uncalled for.

SteveB - You don't know that I'm joking?

oh my god.

if it was my gratuitous use of the f-bomb that was uncalled for, you're probably right. And yeah, I don't really believe that Steve thinks Phil's jersey number will determine his success but it is the second post about it.

If I can't have fun with that, then maybe I'll just start my own blog and call it TheOnlyYankee BlogWithASenseofHumor.com.

Cripes.
