Castro & Ransom

The Yankees have signed Bernie Castro and Cody Ransom.

They probably would get more out of Tango & Cash or Bacardi and Cola.

Heck, they'd probably get more out of Mac and C.H.E.E.S.E.

Why do you always seem disgusted when the Yankees sign minor-league filler?

By the way, the Tigers just gave away their best prospects to get Willis and Cabrera from the Marlins.

Wow, that Tigers-Marlins trade is huge. Detroit's lineup is pretty much scary right now. The Yanks are getting squeezed here because if Cleveland and the Tigers both contend, then the Yanks will need to scratch and claw to get into the postseason. Watch for Hank Steinbrenner's predictable reactionary behavior now...

off topic:

mlb.com had a story about pettite, and how he says he might be back next year as well because the thought of opening the new yankee stadium was overwhelming to him. that's why it took so long to decide cause he was thinking either retire or play for at least 2 more years. pettite in 09 also? awesome.

Because there's good filler and bad filler - and it just seems like they get lazy and sign the bad filler.
