Hank Stein On Offers To Mo & Jorge

From the AP -

"Mariano already has been given an improved offer, and Jorge's will be today," senior vice president Hank Steinbrenner said. "We're kind of hoping to get an answer at least on one of the two tonight."

"The ball's pretty much in their court now. They've both been made very good offers now, and we'll see where they're at," Steinbrenner said. "We'll see how committed they are."

We'll see how committed they are.

Sounds like HankdeStein Jr. is drawing a line in the sand here.

He should not play chicken with these two. Guys with one shot left at a big payday are going to do what they think is best for their families - and not stay with a team because they feel committed.

Like I've been saying all off-season, this guy just doesn't know when to shut up. He's as "red light" as Schilling or as you say Torre has become.

Honestly, someone needs to let Hank know when enough's enough.

Well, I guess his big mouth didn't matter one way or another. Jorge signed.

I have to agree, Hank needs to shut up or take a PR class. Sure, it's fun to listen to and read in some ways, but my entertainment isn't the main concern here. But great news on Posada, who knows what we'll be getting in that 4th year, but it's a move that had to be made. Now what's keeping Mo from signing?

Hey A-Rod, YOUR catcher just resigned....
