The Fantastic Four

This quote from Brian Cashman, in the Post the other day, is sticking with me today:

"Phase one is accomplished, but the competition is fierce," Brian Cashman said. "The four teams that are in really are the Fantastic Four in the American League. Our work is cut out for us and no doubt we know that.

"We dug ourselves a hole and now we've fought ourselves back to even. It's back to zero-zero. Everybody starts at the same spot come October and we are thankful for that. We've got a second chance."

Which one of the "October" Fantastic Four are the Yankees? Please don't let it turn out to be the Invisible Girl.

================
Given the offense, I'd say "The Thing."

I dunno, take this quote from Wikipedia:

"However, upon developing the ability to project highly durable fields of energy, Sue Storm became the Fantastic Four's most powerful member"

That wouldn't be so bad. But, I think, the Yankees really are the 'thing' of the Four. If I had to choose, the Sox would be the Flamer (heh), Cleveland the invisible girl (because their top two pitchers, plus the Rafaels in the bullpen, can literally stop offenses in their tracks), and the Angels being Mr. Fantastic. Because they 'stretch' singles into doubles, and go from first to third.

Yeah, it's a little flimsy. But I like it.
