As Much As It Pains Me To Say This...
...I find it impressive the way that the Red Sox dusted the Angels in their ALDS (especially when you factor in how the Angels have given the Yankees fits the last few years).
Congrats to the Red Sox, and to their fans, for advancing to the ALCS this season.
I'm not a fan of their ownership team in Boston. Nor am I a fan of many of the Red Sox players. And, there are some Red Sox fans, well, let's just say that I just don't understand them...and let's leave it at that.
But, still, to finish first, and then sweep the ALDS against a good team...like I said: It's impressive. I have to tip my cap to that.

how sickening were Ortiz and Ramirez staring at their HRs? if i'm mike scioscia, i tell my pitchers to drill one or both of them once the game gets to 9-0.

I find gratification in the fact that the Red Sox officially became the postseason daddies to the Angels. The Sox beat them in the regular season, and they have swept them twice in the first round. I can't say I am not happy after listening to the many cheap shots the L.A. sports media have taken to the Yankees.

If I'm Scioscia, I tell them to make better pitches. Don't like people watching HR's? Don't give them up.

Sorry guys but I find nothing about the Angels giving up and dying against the Red Sox impressive. The Angels have played the Yankees in 2 postseason series and the Red Sox in two different series and I am sorry but in 2002 we had 4 great pitchers in Roger, Andy, Wells, and Mussina and the Angels kept fighting off tough pitches and blooping balls in and they didnt even have Vlad so there is no way anyone can say they cant hit good pitching. The fact is Beckett and Schilling are no better than any of those other Yankee pitchers in 2002 and these Angels didnt bother to show up. I think it is obvious that the Angels dont care when the face the Red Sox and they do when they face the Yanks. Plain and simple, no credit whatsoever to Boston is given nor deserved. It is easy to win games when the other team doesnt show up.

As a sox fan, much respect for tipping your cap to your rivals.
The reason i visit this yankee website is because it provides a classy, not over-biased perspective with great baseball information and statistics on my teams rival.
I would wish you good luck, but I would much rather face the Indians in the ALCS, as the yanks owned us in September.
