A-Rod Asks Dominican Prez For Visit
From the Dominican Republic News -
President Leonel Fernandez will travel to the United States next Sunday to participate in several activities, among them throwing the first ball in a New York Yankees baseball game.
Fernandez said his participation in a Yankees games is to mark the 500 home runs by the player of Dominican origin, Alex Rodriguez.
Fernandez, talking with reporters on Wedeneday in the 44th anniversary celebration of the founding of the community club Mauricio Báez, said Rodriguez personally invited him to make the first pitch in Yankee Stadium.
The chief executive will also visit Boston, and speak before the United Nations General Assembly.
I wonder if President Leonel Fernandez will do the same for Manny Ramirez when he gets his 500th career homer?
