My YES Wish-Letter

Dear YES Network:

How about just having Singleton, Leiter and Girardi in the booth - and have Kay replace Kim Jones - from here until the end of the season?

Allow Murcer, O'Neill, Flaherty and Justice to take turns and handle pre- and post-game in the studio with Bob and Nancy.

Thanks for taking the time to consider this request.

Sincerely,
A Yankees fan with a functioning set of ears and a brain that's not dead.

Singleton, Leiter and Girardi in the booth - OH GOD NO. PLEASE NO!!!

Kay is bad, but Leiter is McCarver all over again. He gets up on his soap box and totally ignores the game that is going on.

The other night when, granted the Yanks were way up, during a Cano at bat Leiter talked and talked totally ignoring the screw job the umpire put on Cano. They never talked about it. 3-0 pitch was outside, called a stike and Cano was going to first. The 3-1 was again way outside and again the ump called a strike, and Leiter just kept talking. They never mentioned what was going on.

Later when Phillips came up for the last time, Kay had to wait for leiter to take a breath to tell people that Phillips needed a hit to keep his streak going, and the Leiter again got up on his box and kept talking.

I'll agree with getting rid of Kim, she is horrible. (How about getting rid of the big windbag goofball Sterling on the radio???)

Fortune Magazine is reporting that YES Network is up for sale. I wonder why they'd sell that goldmine?
