Felix The Caino

Today, I was wondering "In terms of Torre Era relievers, just how brutal has Luis Vizcaino been (so far) this season?"

To the Complete Baseball Encyclopedia for some data:

Jeff Nelson allowed a lot of baserunners - but he got out of jams by whiffing people...and that saved his bacon, many times.

But, back to Vizcaino...he's right up there with the fabled bad boys: Paul Quantrill (after Torre baked him), Felix Rodriguez, Felix Heredia, and Jay Witasick.

The way Vizcaino is pitching for New York this season, and given the like-compares to Felix Rodriguez and Felix Heredia, it almost seems like his first name should be "Felix" and not "Luis."

I'd rather refer to him as "The Viz"...as in "Everybody Beats the Viz."

The bum actually came up big last night, but is there any reason why this guy is still on the team besides the fact Cashman doesn't want the Johnson trade to look bad?
