Screw Dustin Pedroia. All we hear all game long is that he's scrappy and "knows how to play the game of baseball." Well, apparently not. Apparently he doesn't know much about the game if he has a problem with someone going in hard to second to prevent the double play and score a run.

Having A-Rod's elbow hit his crotch will probably be the highlight of his mediocre career (though I do hear he's challenging David Eckstein in the "everyone's favorite little buddy" category).

Here's what A-Rod's or pretty much anyone else's response should be to Pedroia's comments.

"Hey rook...shut your mouth and play the game."

Case closed.

On the bright side, between arod and giambi I think it's quite clear the idea of the yankees being the classy organization is out the door.

Are you even a Yankee fan?

I've seen the Sox do nothing but give "cheapshots" and pitch inside almost to the point of hitting people in the head--and actually hitting them in some cases. With the exception of Proctor, the Yankees have not established themselves as people who won't be fucked with. A-Rod's slide wasn't akin to the slapping of the hand that I cannot possibly condone. It was baseball.

I guess that sounds a lot tougher than "I've got to turn two with the Yankees no fewer than four times a year, depending on the health and availability of Alex Cora."
