Realizations
In the words of Captain Spaulding, "Pardon me while I have a strange interlude."
Why is it that, more times than not, when someone cuts me off on the road (these days), they're driving a Lexus or BMW SUV?
And...
Why is it that this song doesn't get played as much as it used to at ballparks (these days)?
OK, enough on these two recent random realizations of mine. We now return to your regularly scheduled programming.

===========
It's Gary Glitter's "Rock & Roll parts 1 & 2"
As for why you don't hear it as much as you used to;
"In 2005-2006, Glitter was convicted on child sexual abuse charges in Vietnam. After the conviction was upheld in court, the NFL asked teams to stop playing the song, although Glitter had already been convicted and imprisoned on child pornography charges in England in 1997. Subsequently most professional and college teams in the US and Canada have discontinued using the song (with the notable exception of the New York Islanders, Nashville Predators, Dallas Stars and the New York Knicks)."

The reason that song is no longer played anywhere, is because Mr.Glitter was busted for child pornography.

I wouldn't mind hearing more organ music. When I attended a few Expos games, I was tickled to hear "The Happy Wanderer" and "El Rancho Grande" played.
Val-deri,Val-dera,
Val-deri,
Val-dera-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha
:)
Since I haven't heard it anywhere else, I guess it was just an "Expos" thing. Like I think I've only heard "Westminster Chimes" played @ Yankee Stadium.

While I believe that people who commit crimes against children should be locked up forever - meaning throw away the key - it does seem silly not to use something positive that they also contributed to society.
If we found out that Thomas Edison, just as an example - and not to imply anything, was into child pornography, does that mean we should stop using light bulbs?

I just find it amusing that everyone goes along with "YMCA" a song about gay sex...

I'm certain I've heard the Braves use the Westminster Quarters during a game a while back.

Could be the case; I wouldn't be suprised. Haven't been there since 1997.
