It's Been 22 Days, Do You Know Where Your Carl Pavano Is?

Just for the record, it's now 22 days since Carl Pavano last pitched in a game for the Yankees. Pavano did throw a bullpen session two days ago. However, the Yankees have yet to set a timetable for his return. It should be noted that this bullpen session was 45 pitches for Carl - including just 20 off a mound. Just a hunch, but, I don't think the Yankees will see Carl Pavano pitch another game for them this season...and maybe forever.

I bash Cashman for relying on this guy for any significant portion of '07. But, deep inside (and despite my goofy attempts at humor), I really felt like he was going to contribute this year.

Who's Carl Pavano?

Seriously, if this guy had any honor, he'd ask for his release, then sign an incentive laden contract with a league minimum base salary. If he could contribute, then he makes his bucks; if not, then he only gets meal money.

A I posted on this most wonderous of Yankee blogs right after Pavano's most recent 'injury', I don't know him.
