More Parking At New Stadium?

City Pitches in for Yankee Stadium Parking, as per StreetsBlog.org. According to the report:

It [the move] would also increase the current parking stock by 55 percent...

That's great - but, what about the roads around the Stadium and that extra parking? Will they be able to handle the traffic? I hope they're looking at the entire picture - wouldn't that be nice for a change?

Its funny Steve....
The ONLY reason I could imagine ever abandoning historic, historic, historic, (did I say historic) Yankee Stadium, would be to move somewhere where there was great mass transit, access to the stadium and lots of parking.

The only fans who really benefit from this move are ones that can afford $10k for a luxury suite and people who use the bathroom a lot.

Don´t forget the fans who will benefit from the new stadium being ada compliant...

but yeah, for the most part the well-heeled fans will benefit...

greetings from honduras, where most of the baseball stuff you see is yankee stuff. great to have a worldwide brand, no?

as for traffic, it´ll be pretty much the same way it is now, if not a bit worse. this is something we will deal with unless they build more roads, or widen the currently existing ones. you KNOW that is not going to happen
