Ring-A-Ding-Ding

I just started reading The Pride and the Pressure — A Season Inside the New York Yankee Fishbowl, and, it already answered a question for me - right on page 2.

Last month, I wondered why Brian Cashman wears the ring from 2000 - as opposed to other rings.

From The Pride and the Pressure:

...Cashman had his pick of rings. But he always gravitated toward the one from 2000. "It was the toughest one to get," he said...

Actually, Cash, I have to correct you on that point. It seems like, lately, # 27 has been the hardest one to get.

Course, every other pro team in sports would love to have the problem of getting #27. The Canadiens are still stuck on what, #24?
