Bud: Get Me The Assistant to the Yankees Traveling Secretary On The Phone
From Ken Davidoff -
The Yankees were supposed to visit San Diego this season, but when Colorado management begged for the Yankees to come in and boost attendance, baseball relented and switched the schedule, as first reported by the San Diego Union-Tribune. This is when the Yankees have every right to cry hypocrisy: Opposing teams don't want them spending so much on talent - until the chance arises to have them in their ballpark...
Well said Mr. Davidoff.
I feel sorry for the Yankees pitchers on this one. It's a big difference between working in San Diego (which was discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's....) and having to pitch up in Denver.
How long until the Laughin' Larry Lucchino of the Sox moans about the Yankees getting an easier opponent with this switch?

The "San Diego" joke went completely over my head. "San Diego", of course, is the Spanish name for "Saint Didacus", a Franciscan saint, and was the one of the primary Spanish missions in early California.
that's funny. I would wonder though what the yanks will get in return for having to change their travel plans.
They will get Bud Selig's eternal respect and good opinion which, you can guess, is worthless.
So, what happened to the Dodgers series that was supposed to be in the Bronx this year? Now they get to play the Pirates instead.

I believe Anchorman was on this past weekend...
Anyway, it shouldn't be a big deal; a positive is the Yanks don't have to face Padre pitching.
