Tigers or Twins?

Looking at the A.L. Central this morning, and seeing the Twins and Tigers tied at the top - with three games to go - makes me wonder if I will get my wish?

I hope the Yankees have sent their best scouts to cover both of these teams over the last few weeks. Although, since the Tigers play the Royals and the Twins play the White Sox, it looks like the Yankees will get the Twins in the ALDS.

I did a comparison of the last 3 years: our lineup vs. their pitchers, and our pitchers vs. their lineup. linked in my ID.

overall, Arod has hit very well against all 3 AL teams, better against Min & Det. Rivera has been the best reliever against them all, better against Det & Oak. Sheff hits Min well, Matsui hits Min & Oak well, Posada best vs. Oak, Cano best vs. Det, & Melky the same.

Wang has been very good vs. all 3, Randy has been awesome vs. Min (but poor vs. Det & Oak), and Mussina best against Oak.

Farnsworth and Proctor have not done well vs. Min & Det. Villone poor vs. Min, & Bruney has never faced Oak.
