91-Year Old Penny-Pincher Talks Smack At Yanks
From the St. Paul Pioneer Press -
[Twins Owner] Pohlad said he has no preference as to which team — the New York Yankees or Oakland A's — his Twins face in the first round of the playoffs next week. Then he paused.
"I'd rather play the Yankees," he said, "because I know we can beat them."
Privately, there is no club Pohlad would rather beat than George Steinbrenner's Yankees.
"That's right," he whispered.
Careful what you wish for there, old-timer. Be very careful.

For his role in the contraction scheme, I don't like Mr. Pohlad.
I hope the Twinkies match up with the Yanks. I also hope that the matchup winds up like the previous matchups.
I hope they never win another playoff game as long as he's the owner.

And beating the Twins would also be sticking it in the eye of Bud Selig, the man that received a "loan" from Pohlad conveniently around the time the billionaire founder of Wells Fargo Bank couldn't wait to sign the contraction papers and get his $150M buy out instead of trying to sell the team and giving someone else a chance to do a better job.

Every time he's mentioned, I think of the Chiefs owner in "Slap Shot"
