Ricky Ledee
I just saw that the Mets picked up Ricky Ledee.
I always liked Ricky. And, to be honest, I always had this secret wish that the Yankees could pick him up again, someday, and use him as a 4th outfielder.
Ledee was money for the Yankees in the 1998 World Series. I hope Yankees fans will always remember that and wish him well with the rest of his career - even if it is with the Mets.
I know that I wish him all the best.

I'm with you on Ricky, he was always a personal fave (as was Juan Rivera, but that's a different story).
After the Yanks sent Ledee to the Indians, he was dealt to the Rangers later that year, meaning he played for all 3 of the previous year's divison winners in one season. I wonder how many players have done that.

If you watch the '98 World Series -- YES plays it -- you'll hear Tim McCarver say that the Yankees are so impressed with Ledee that it might make it easier to let Bernie Williams leave as a free agent.
Now, Tim McCarver is a moron and I'm sure he pulled this out of his backside, but I guess it just goes to show that you can't judge a person's future based on one post-season.
