Almost 18

The record for most hits in a day for WasWatching.com, for a while, was 17,682.

Yesterday, we had 17,949 hits. And, when I saw that today, I thought "Nice, a new record." But, then I noticed that we had 17,999 hits (here) the other day on July 6th. (Yes, I don't check the counts everyday.)

Man, so close to 18,000! Based on the way the hit count keeps climbing each month, I bet we see 18,000 very soon.

Thanks to all for making this happen - and for your interest in WasWatching.com.

It's a part of my daily surf and I check back several times a day. I like it as much for what you write as for the conversations/debates between the usual suspects that hang out here (Bailey, JohnnyC, Hopbitters, etc).

The feeling's mutual, MJ, my brutha. Seriously, Steve's blog is endearingly personal as well as solidly Yankee-centric. I like the fact that we don't get way off the topic very much if at all. Some of the other blogs don't sustain the balance that Steve's does. And...it's laconic. I hope this has nothing to do with the Coneheads, unless it's David Cone.

Congrats Steve! Although all of us do not always agree on Yankees' issues, we can all agree that you do a wonderful job.
