Too Bad Most People Will Still Be At Work
Via Mediaweek:
The YES Network will take some extra cuts in the cage this season, introducing a new half-hour pre-pre-game show that will lead in to some 100 Yankee telecasts.
Yankees Batting Practice Today is exactly as advertised: A peek into the Bombers’ B.P. sessions, complete with swing analysis, interviews and relevant statistics. Presenting sponsors of the show, which debuts before the season opener, Monday, April 3 at Oakland, are billed as Your Tri-State Area Lincoln Mercury Dealers.
For weeknight home games, the batting practice show will begin at 6 p.m., followed by the Tri-State Ford-sponsored pre-game show at 6:30. The first pitch generally gets tossed at 7:00 each night.
Yes, I'm crazy, but, I would watch this almost everyday it was on - if I was home. That's the problem. How many folks are home at 6 pm? Then again, it probably beats whatever else they were going to throw out there in the 6 pm slot. I just wish they would replay it after the post-game or something - for us folks that will have to otherwise tape it (if we ever wanted to see it).

Anyone interested can tape or "Tivo" it.
I guess this will cut the last half hour of the Mike and Mad Dog show - not much of a loss.

Given the lack of general programming on YES, I can see them replaying it after the game...
