Scott Erickson
Is it just me, or, is he actually pitching well so far this Spring?
Update: I just found the spring stats on ESPN.com - and he is doing well: 8 Ks in 5 IP with 6 BR and 0 ER allowed.

Steve, I have really enjoyed the fact that Joe Torre loves to graduate young pitching prospects onto the big club. It's good to see a manager have so much interest in and support of the pitching talent in the farm system. Why, the number of major league quality pitchers personally stamped by Torre's patient, mentoring ways in the past decade is in the double figures. Just start with...just start...with...uh...never mind.

Buddy Groom was lights out last spring, so take spring performances with a grain a salt...

As long as Al Leiter isn't picked, I'm happy.

Picture this: Pavano starts the year on the DL, Erickson pitches well this spring and makes the team, and he turns out to be the "Small" of 2006.
OK, now, pitcure this too: I'm Brad Pitt.
