Good Moose Hunting?
From the Journal News -
Moose on math: Ever wonder what players do to kill time in spring training? Yesterday morning Mike Mussina put his Stanford-educated noggin to use trying to determine how far the middle of the mound was from first base.
Using an algebraic equation and the calculator on a cell phone, Mussina determined it was 63.7 feet. It was a scene right out of "Good Will Hunting" without the Boston accents.
Well, I suppose that this is less painful than that game they play in the bullpen to pass time where they pull out each other's nose hairs.

Wow, you know it's a slow news day when someone using the Pythagorean Theorem gets a couple lines in the paper.
Of course, with the some of the characters in baseball, I'm glad there are still some smart ones out there.
