Game Tomorrow, YES, 1 PM, Be There

If you're home Thursday, watching YES during the day, please make some comments in this thread about what you see, for all us suckers stuck at work.

Warning: If you're going to watch the game on tape at night, don't read the comments, if you want to be fresh for the experience.

Sadly, it doesn't appear to have an audio broadcast feed at MLB.com - so I'll be watching this thread for updates. Wow, baseball!

....nice too, as I look out my window and see the field at Yogi Berra Stadium being pelted with snow today.........

And keep those snow updates coming, Steve. I'm working in Metuchen and there's no snow down here. I want to know what I'm in for when I go home later.

Not that bad so far. The parking lot for Six Brothers Diner on 46 has a coating on it. But, 46 and 3 look clear.....for now.

Oh, that's not too bad. Thanks.

I just tuned in (lousy work interfering with baseball). It looks like Chacon was cruising until 2 outs in the second, but worked out of trouble. Giambi, Bernie, Cano, and Damon (2-2) all reached, scoring 2 runs in there somewhere. Bombers up 2-0. Top of 3rd.

Burrell 2-R HR off Henn - tied at 2.

"I think we've seen enough of Sean Henn."

J/K!

Sean Henn used to hit 100-101 on the gun with good regularity. Of course, that was like 4 years again and before elbow surgery.

I thought MLBtv was free for spring training, it was last year.

Andy Phillips with a solo HR.

Final : 6-3 PHI. I missed most of the latter half with work.

Aw, they suck!

J/K!

Thanks for the updates!

The boys are on Winter Break, so the wife & I drove them down from NC to catch a few games.

Great weather: sunny, mild breeze, >80 degrees.

The vendors at Legends Field are way below par from last year: charcoal has been banned, so the soft pretzels were cold & stale; Carvel soft-serve ice cream was served as frozen blocks; twice got served HOT beer.

Brian got balls autographed by Reggie and Hank Bauer. We lined up to see King George after the game, but he didn't deign to acknowledge his customers.

I grew up as a Phillies fan, so it was a treat to see Larry Bowa coaching at third. And, I won't miss Lius Sojo, who didn't make a single good judgement call there all last season.....

Hey, I'll take a bad day at Spring Training over a good day stuck at work, every time!

Posted by: Steve Lombardi [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 2, 2006 09:15 PM

Especially on a day like today. I mean, really, at least you're drinking beer, even if it's hot. I had to drink coffee all day and who wants to do that?!

On a related note, did anyone else grimace at the "Myers IP L BS" stat in the box score? I mean, I know it's spring training and all, so umm it won't happen in the regular season right?
