The New Mr. Stay-Puft?
Looking at a photo today of Jason Giambi on mlb.com forced this compare in my mind:

Is it just me or does Jason look like he's been hitting the In-N-Out Burgers again?

Well, that's what Spring Training used to be for...getting in shape.

Here's another article about Giambi with some more quotes. It mentions that he does, in fact, look meatier.

Hey SL,
Don't you remember? Stay-Puft saved the Ghostbusters bacon! Giambi will do the same!

I dunno James.
Great link Jen - thanks.
He says that he's 240. Since everyone always lies a bit, I would say that makes him at least 245 - maybe 250(?). That's too large. Just wait, we'll see. His knees and back will be issues this year.

I'm far more concerned about Giambi's balky left elbow, which he has labeled "bursitis" or "tendonitis," but is probably epicondylitis. Both of his power-hitting streaks (e.g.- AL Player of the Month in July) last year were the immediate result of a pair of (cortico-)steroid injections of that joint. Hopefully, he has found a more durable remedy, such as surgery (arthroscopic release of ECRB) or lithotripsy.
