Secret Mound Tools?
From the CT Post:
Tom Gordon is responding to antibiotics, manager Joe Torre indicated, but was unavailable to pitch Tuesday night as he continues to battle a urinary tract infection.
I had no idea how important the urethra was in terms of being able to pitch effectively. Baseball is great. You really do learn something every day.

I wonder if this is like Babe Ruth's bellyache in 1925?

I guess it's hard to throw well when your guy is smarting. Getting the ball over the plate would be the last thing on my mind.

Ronnie Lott would have just cut it off.

Actually, depending on severity, it can bring you to your knees even without going pee. I had one a long time ago and it hurt just to walk. Those who poo-poo the whole thing have gotten off lightly, if you ask me, which you didn't! LOL!
