Kids At The Stadium

From a recent Newsday report:

About 10 kids are reported missing from Yankee Stadium during every game.

"Usually we find them," said Officer Jason Lieterman, a police officer at Yankee Stadium since 1998.

I just don't understand some parents.

I'm assuming that this one was prompted by the 13-year old Stamford kid going missing from the Stadium Saturday. He was found the next day, perfectly healthy, standing in front of a building in Queens. There was no explanation from the police or family as to how or why he got there. Maybe he was a Mets fan?

Metsies play in Flushing. IIRC, the kid was found in a much less desirable (and rougher) area, Jamaica.

I didn't pay much attention to the specifics, but didn't the kid deny who he was?
