Joe Thurston
I just saw this:
But the non-waiver trading deadline passed quietly for the Dodgers on Sunday. They made only one trade, and that was on Friday, a minor-league deal that sent infielder Joe Thurston to the New York Yankees for a player to be named.
The word on this kid: 2B, bats left, can run. He's 25.
He was once the jewel of the Dodgers farm - a few years back. Reportedly, he has a great attitude. And, he was hitting well at AAA this year.
He might just be a useful 25th man to have on the team - like Homer Bush was in 1998.

OT: Seems like Jose Canseco has been vindicated.

He may be a good #25, but Womack's in his way
