Bad Scout
From The Record:
Jaret Wright gave up two hits and fanned eight over six shutout innings in a rehabilitation start for Class A Tampa against Vero Beach. His fastball hit 94 mph.
"He looked great," Yankees owner George Steinbrenner told The Associated Press at Legends Field.
As for the big club, Steinbrenner said: "I'm concerned that they've got to get their bats going. They've got to get it together and get playing."
Somebody should let Big Stein know that he was pitching against a bunch of high school kids.

Yeah, but in an outing like that, you look for velocity, command and movement in that particular start. And most importantly, the day ifter, you see if he's pain-free.

is he on crack? get their "bats going"?
If by bats he means "starting pitching" then I agree with him.

to add- Mr. Steinbrenner because you had to mention that the "bats" need to wake up... have you noticed how the Chicago White Sox are winning?
1) they do not have any player batting better than .285
2) they lead the league in Sacrifice flys and I believe sac bunts
3) near the top in SB's
4) they hit HR's too...(third in the league) but they don't rely on them
5) they are strong defensively
6) they don't make mental mistakes in the field at the plate or on the basepaths
7) and we haven;t even discussed pitching yet...fine- they are overachieving...but I'll take 5 overachievers over 5 underachievers any day.
"bats" need to get going.....god he is losing it.
